Enjoy it Now

I just went in and kissed the girls goodnight, and told them that we didn't have to wake up early for school or work tomorrow. This sounds great to me, not to them. They asked what we are doing and I said they could help me with laundry, "and dishes?" they asked. I am so going to enjoy this now when they actually want to help with house work. We'll see what actually happens in the morning!

Gymnastics, such a long word

Today as I was bringing the girls to my brother-in-law's house, I told Maddi that she had gymnastics tonight. She replied, "ahhhh", I asked her if she didn't like it anymore and she said, "Mom, it makes me so tired, gymnastics is such a long word" WHAT!!
"what do you mean?", I asked her. "It's so long to say, it makes my mouth tired" Um OK, what do you say to that? I told her she had to go because we already paid for it, and I was sure her teacher would not make her say gymnastics, so her mouth would not get tired. Where does she come up with this stuff!!

Tyler's Elbow

My brother Tyler was in an accident in October and had to get pins in his elbow, in the last couple weeks one of them poked through the scar and they found out he had an infection in there. Yesterday he had to go in and have surgery to get the old ones out and get new put in. When they opened it up they cleaned out the infection and then decided to leave it open until Monday night when they are going to go into surgery once again to close it up. Needless to say, Tyler is pretty bored up there at Spectrum! Keep him in your prayers through out this weekend, he hopes to come home late Monday night or Tuesday.

Happy Birthday Maddi!!

Today is Maddi's actual birthday, it is also Aunt Sara's, so that is endlessly cool with Maddi. I realy can't believe she is 5, the years go by so much faster since we had kids!

Feeling Better

Yay, we are all feeling better!! I got it last night, but we are all good now. The girls and I still took it easy all day, but no more episodes. I think the flu is such a big deal to me becuase the girls haven't had it since Mo was a baby! Mad is such a trooper, she just does her business and then says, "I think I need to go wash my face and cool down" Tom taught her that, he is so helpful with them being sick. Mad says to him this morning, "Dad, I made it in my bucket everytime, except the first time!" Mo was a little tougher, she doesn't give you as much warning! But, I can't complain about that, Tom sat with her all Sunday night and while I was at work Monday. It was the strangest flu, it lasted like 8 hours and then you were done, so if you get it don't dispare, it will be short!!

This is Maddi at her bowling party, she was so geeked to bowl.
Soooo, what do you do when your kid pukes at the hairstylists house??

You apologize profusely, help clean it up (I say help because you are in a state of shock and can't think) and call your husband to pick her up because you can't leave cause you have foils in your hair!!

Jackie is the best hairstylist and friend you could ask for in this situation, not only did she clean it up, but she made me not feel so bad about it by laughing with me!

Morgan was sick last night so all day we have been asking Mad if she was feeling ok and all that. She was great all day, she played and entertained and talked like she was fine up until she actually puked, it was the strangest thing.

Thanks Jackie for your understanding, I realy owe you one

I would like to thank Jeff for our interesting discussion on our way home from Mom & Dad's Sunday Dinner, it went something like this.
Maddi: Why do boys always have to pee outside!?
Me: I don't know Mad, maybe because they can.
Maddi: My friends do that Jay and Vincer, they pee on the tree and in the grass, God doesn't like that, if you pee on the grass and in the garden. I don't pee outside.
Me: Good Mad, girls don't go outside.
Maddi: Don't they know that you are only supposed to pee inside, in the toilet!
Morgan: Yah, on the potty! I hatta go potty mommy!!
Me: Just hold it till we get home
Morgan: I no hafta go no more
Me: You did not just go in your seat did you?
Morgan: No, I go on the potty!! at home

Wow, what a fun day we had yesterday!! We celebrated Maddi & Brooke & Britney's birthdays. We all went "bowlding"(my girls have been talking about it all week, Mo has been dressing up to go, no she didn't wear that, but she did take her "bowlding" hat along) and then to Pizza Ranch for dinner and ended at Mark & Kris's house for cake.

This picture is of Maddi from preschool, her teacher makes all the kids birthday crowns and they get to wear them all day. We had to do her birthday a week early because they don't have school on her actual day.
Here are some of the things that our 5 year old is interested in, I don't know if she is normal or not, but here is a basis for everyone else.
1. mastikicks - that is gymnastics if you didn't know, this is getting better, she only slips up once and a while
2. friends, "but I don't know her name, you know, the girl with the brown hair and pretty dress"
3. Transformers - the movie, not exactly what a 5 yr old should watch, but she loves it
4. Everyday when Tom gets home from work she asks "Daddy, how was work, what did you fix today?" Tom loves that!!
5. She either likes her hair in 1 ponytail or nothing, Yeah right! this is a constant battle, you all know I will not let her wear her hair just down! It has to have something holding it away from her face.
6. Pretending she and Morgan are horses and galloping all around the house.
7. I just asked her what she would like to write, and she said "my Tiger, I don't know how it spells, maybe "a212" I think" She just got that Tiger last night, but she always wanted it and it is her favorite, she named it "baby Jaguar"
I realy can't believe that we have a 5 year old, that (along with my gray hairs) makes me feel so old!

Maddi and Morgan all bundled up to play outside, they played for about an hour before they got too cold. Then they came in for warm cocoa, with smarshmellows!!

My first blogging experience

Hey, I have been looking at others blogs and thought that we should have one. So, I am going to try and do this without calling my sister Kristin for help. Please bear with me!!
