Katie & Dan's Wedding

I love the look on Mo's face, what a sweetheart

Mo was kinda antsy, and it was really windy

Walking down, Mad was kinda shy

Doesn't she look Beautiful!
Katie sewed the flowers on the shirts for the girls, they love them
It was really a fun day for all of us, the girls felt very comfortable with everyone and just adored Katie. Everything was beautiful, Katie thought of everything, they even had their own name cards, Maddi Mazeikis and Mo Mo Mazeikis, I thought that was really cute

Backyard BBQ/Mo's Party

She ate the frosting off of 3 cupcakes

Mo, singing along & swinging with the card
from the "Grandma next door" it played the
three little fishies song.

We had Mo's bbq Sunday night, and it was a great time. We ended up having about 50 people show up. I can hardly believe that that many people showed, we just planned it Monday! The backyard looked great, we finally have a decent yard to party in, Tom and I and some friends worked in it all week, we painted the fence, fixed the fence and did some lanscaping, it was an exhausting week thats for sure, but very rewarding.

Mo's Birthday

Morgan turned 3 today!! She helped Maddi & I decorate her cake, her only disappointment in the day was that she still has to ride in her little girl car seat, she doesn't get a big girl seat yet.

Maddi went away with Tom for the weekend and they went to the Toledo Zoo, this is a pretty cool picture of her.

We have Grass!!

So you all know that we are not the greenest lawn on our street, this year in an attempt to actually catch up with the Jones' we have seeded our dirt spots in our lawn. We did this a week ago today, and Monday I was stressing out because we couldn't see any grass growing, today I looked and there is a green haze over our dirt spots, IT is GROWING!!! I am super happy, Tom told me that if this didn't work then we are tearing out the whole lawn and having dirt:( I would not put it pass him either. Other news, I seem the be the only sister in our family not pregnant, so I will focus on getting skinnier while they all get fat:) No, I am not getting the itch, I just am not looking forward to vacation with the family, as I sit there counting points, and they all eat whatever they want, I will live vicariously through them all. Weight Watchers is going very good for me, I have lost 9.2 lbs (aproximately) in the last 3 weeks, and am not even starving!! I am about a quarter of the way to my goal (don't try doing the math, yes I am fat, but not for long) If I keep going at this pace, I will reach my goal in like 3 1/2 months, just in time to not be the fat mom with the cute flower girls at our neighbors wedding. Anyway, I am going to enjoy this summer finally not being super self-concious(sp?) in my bathing suit and training to run that 5K in October. Love you all, Ta Ta for now

New Pet

The girls have been playing outside now for about 2 hours, the last hour or so they have been playing with their new pet worm. They named it very appropriately, first it was Mrs. Worm and now it is Wormy. This is a great pet, it keeps them entertained, but neither one of them will touch it with their bare hands, they pick it up with sticks. Mo tried to touch it but was afraid it would bite her (I'm not sure where the mouth is on those things, but who would take the chance) and Maddi said it was slimey so that ruined all chance of Mo touching it again.

What a great day we had on Easter, not only was our sermon awesome, the girl's outfits turned out great! Priorities, Right?!?

Skirts

Hey the skirts are almost done!! all we have to do is sew the elastic. It took Mom and I 4 hours on Monday night to make 2 skirts, we made one for Maddi, Mo & Faith (Mom made Mo's on Saturday so she would know how to help me). It wouldn't have taken so long except that sometimes I would sew a whole seam and then realize my thread had broken, or I would sew the fabric to itself :) Mom was a huge help, I couldn't have done it without her, she took out some of the seams and helped me fix where I went wrong. I think I could do it again, I don't think that I will :) It is not my favorite past time, too many steps, although Mom did tell me I picked the hardest thing to start on because of the gathering and layers. I'll let you know if I decide to be creative ever again, and you can all discourage it!!

Creativity

Hey, as you all know, the creativity gene in our family skipped me (along with the boobies, but we won't go there, maybe they are connected, hmmmm) Anyway, I decided that I am going to try and make skirts for the girls using a pattern and with my mom's help. We went to Joanne's today and picked out some material, I will keep you posted as to how they turn out. We ended up with bright pink daisies, yellow with white polka dots and a multicolored plaid. The skirts are going to be 3 tiers and spinny (that is a prerequisite courtesy of Maddi). Keep your fingers crossed that I don't mess up too bad and get discouraged, because I have high hopes for making dresses someday too.

We have been so busy!! I finally have time to write

What a month!! it has been crazy busy, lots of changes going on at work with Tom and I. Tom is working overtime like 50-55 hrs a week which is a real blessing and I have been working different hours because we let someone go. The girls are growing so much, I went to conferences today for Maddi, and her teacher told me she was doing very good, a great listener and has a great attention span, but she doesn't participate very much. Can you imagine that my daughter wouldn't be the first one to answer any question!! She also said that sometimes Mad looks at her like she has no idea what is going on, that had to have come from her dad! (I called it the "duh" look) we see that look quite often around here. The only thing I get a little frustrated about is that some of the stuff she didn't know at school she knows at home, I think that she gets nervous that she is going to be wrong, so says she doesn't know. Mo is growing up so much too, she knows everything that you are not supposed to say, and is not afraid to tell you. She has a bit of a cold right now and the drainage makes her think she is going to choke (that means throw up) so she carries a tissue just in case, cause that will realy catch it if she does. They are so excited to be able to play outside, and take out brooms as horses and run around the yard. Maddi thinks she has a real horse, thanks to Grandma with Tyler, Maddi asks nearly everyday when she can take her horse home for their house. I don't think they realy gave her a horse, but she sure does!! I have started working out, which is very exciting to me and the girls, they realy want to come and watch me, "we will sit very still and we won't laugh, we promise" Yeah right!! I guess that is enough for now, I will try and keep up a little better. See Ya

Squishy Tummy

Friday morning the girls and I were relaxing in my bed and we started talking about belly buttons (bubbins, as Mo would say). Maddi told me I had a big belly and I told her I was going to go on a diet and start working out to lose my belly. "Ouch, that will hurt," she said. I told her it wouldn't hurt, it would just make my tummy smaller. "But, I like your squishy tummy, it is soft for my pillow! can I lay on it?" I guess that I may not go on a diet, because I need to keep my tummy for a pillow, at least someone has a good use for it:) Gotta love a 5 year old's opinion.

Rollerskating

Today Maddi's class went rollerskating for the last 1/2 hour of preschool. Mo and I went to help out with all the kids, and for moral support. Maddi was pretty worried this morning about her butt, because last time they went skating she had a very sore rump when they were done, I managed to talk her out of tying a pillow around her!! Mo decided that she wanted to skate too, so we got her some skates and after about 5 min. of her clinging to me I asked her if she was having fun and she said, "NO!" So we took off the skates and she just walked with me. Maddi did very well, she didn't fall as much as last time. She spent most of the time shuffling around the gym with her friend Isabelle, just the 2 of them having a great time. She says she needs to practice more at home, but I am putting the skates up in the top of the closet where she can't reach them, to protect my floors and her body!!

Sleepover

Maddi had so much fun this weekend staying at Tom & Sara's house. We went to the mall on Friday, and Sara asked if Maddi could stay over night. I had told Mad that she could not ask, but if they asked she could go, she was so excited when Sara asked her!! Now all I hear about is Faith & Dylan's house. Faith has a small bed and Dylan has a big bed, and next time she stays over, Mo can go along and sleep with Dylan cause else he is lonely. Mo doesn't like that idea, she wants to sleep with Faif. They all got to ride "Patch" the horse, Faith was the best (according to Maddi) and Mad just thought that was the greatest!! Mo is going to ride next time they go, and she is practicing saying "Hooo" and pulling back on the reigns. Faithers also gave Mad some boots that were too small for her, Maddi wore them to school today and forgot them there, you would have thought the world was ending "Faith is going to be so mad at me, those are her favorite boots" so I went back and picked them up for her, we couldn't wait until Wed. cause some other kid might take them. Thanks guys for giving Mad such a great weekend, and I don't know if we are going to be able to get away without Mo going along next time !!:)

Enjoy it Now

I just went in and kissed the girls goodnight, and told them that we didn't have to wake up early for school or work tomorrow. This sounds great to me, not to them. They asked what we are doing and I said they could help me with laundry, "and dishes?" they asked. I am so going to enjoy this now when they actually want to help with house work. We'll see what actually happens in the morning!

Gymnastics, such a long word

Today as I was bringing the girls to my brother-in-law's house, I told Maddi that she had gymnastics tonight. She replied, "ahhhh", I asked her if she didn't like it anymore and she said, "Mom, it makes me so tired, gymnastics is such a long word" WHAT!!
"what do you mean?", I asked her. "It's so long to say, it makes my mouth tired" Um OK, what do you say to that? I told her she had to go because we already paid for it, and I was sure her teacher would not make her say gymnastics, so her mouth would not get tired. Where does she come up with this stuff!!

Tyler's Elbow

My brother Tyler was in an accident in October and had to get pins in his elbow, in the last couple weeks one of them poked through the scar and they found out he had an infection in there. Yesterday he had to go in and have surgery to get the old ones out and get new put in. When they opened it up they cleaned out the infection and then decided to leave it open until Monday night when they are going to go into surgery once again to close it up. Needless to say, Tyler is pretty bored up there at Spectrum! Keep him in your prayers through out this weekend, he hopes to come home late Monday night or Tuesday.

Happy Birthday Maddi!!

Today is Maddi's actual birthday, it is also Aunt Sara's, so that is endlessly cool with Maddi. I realy can't believe she is 5, the years go by so much faster since we had kids!

Feeling Better

Yay, we are all feeling better!! I got it last night, but we are all good now. The girls and I still took it easy all day, but no more episodes. I think the flu is such a big deal to me becuase the girls haven't had it since Mo was a baby! Mad is such a trooper, she just does her business and then says, "I think I need to go wash my face and cool down" Tom taught her that, he is so helpful with them being sick. Mad says to him this morning, "Dad, I made it in my bucket everytime, except the first time!" Mo was a little tougher, she doesn't give you as much warning! But, I can't complain about that, Tom sat with her all Sunday night and while I was at work Monday. It was the strangest flu, it lasted like 8 hours and then you were done, so if you get it don't dispare, it will be short!!

This is Maddi at her bowling party, she was so geeked to bowl.
Soooo, what do you do when your kid pukes at the hairstylists house??

You apologize profusely, help clean it up (I say help because you are in a state of shock and can't think) and call your husband to pick her up because you can't leave cause you have foils in your hair!!

Jackie is the best hairstylist and friend you could ask for in this situation, not only did she clean it up, but she made me not feel so bad about it by laughing with me!

Morgan was sick last night so all day we have been asking Mad if she was feeling ok and all that. She was great all day, she played and entertained and talked like she was fine up until she actually puked, it was the strangest thing.

Thanks Jackie for your understanding, I realy owe you one

Sunday, January 18, 2009

I would like to thank Jeff for our interesting discussion on our way home from Mom & Dad's Sunday Dinner, it went something like this.
Maddi: Why do boys always have to pee outside!?
Me: I don't know Mad, maybe because they can.
Maddi: My friends do that Jay and Vincer, they pee on the tree and in the grass, God doesn't like that, if you pee on the grass and in the garden. I don't pee outside.
Me: Good Mad, girls don't go outside.
Maddi: Don't they know that you are only supposed to pee inside, in the toilet!
Morgan: Yah, on the potty! I hatta go potty mommy!!
Me: Just hold it till we get home
Morgan: I no hafta go no more
Me: You did not just go in your seat did you?
Morgan: No, I go on the potty!! at home

Wow, what a fun day we had yesterday!! We celebrated Maddi & Brooke & Britney's birthdays. We all went "bowlding"(my girls have been talking about it all week, Mo has been dressing up to go, no she didn't wear that, but she did take her "bowlding" hat along) and then to Pizza Ranch for dinner and ended at Mark & Kris's house for cake.

This picture is of Maddi from preschool, her teacher makes all the kids birthday crowns and they get to wear them all day. We had to do her birthday a week early because they don't have school on her actual day.
Here are some of the things that our 5 year old is interested in, I don't know if she is normal or not, but here is a basis for everyone else.
1. mastikicks - that is gymnastics if you didn't know, this is getting better, she only slips up once and a while
2. friends, "but I don't know her name, you know, the girl with the brown hair and pretty dress"
3. Transformers - the movie, not exactly what a 5 yr old should watch, but she loves it
4. Everyday when Tom gets home from work she asks "Daddy, how was work, what did you fix today?" Tom loves that!!
5. She either likes her hair in 1 ponytail or nothing, Yeah right! this is a constant battle, you all know I will not let her wear her hair just down! It has to have something holding it away from her face.
6. Pretending she and Morgan are horses and galloping all around the house.
7. I just asked her what she would like to write, and she said "my Tiger, I don't know how it spells, maybe "a212" I think" She just got that Tiger last night, but she always wanted it and it is her favorite, she named it "baby Jaguar"
I realy can't believe that we have a 5 year old, that (along with my gray hairs) makes me feel so old!

Maddi and Morgan all bundled up to play outside, they played for about an hour before they got too cold. Then they came in for warm cocoa, with smarshmellows!!

My first blogging experience

Hey, I have been looking at others blogs and thought that we should have one. So, I am going to try and do this without calling my sister Kristin for help. Please bear with me!!
